Children's education
From 9:15 to 10:15 am beginning the second Sunday of September and running through the middle of May we offer classes for all children and youth at Immanuel. Register your children today. Simply download the registration form, fill it out and drop it off at church.
Each class of Sunday School for 3-year-olds through 8th graders is taught by at least two adults (who have been trained and screened by our Parish Protection Program), teaching Biblically-based curriculum. Children under 3 are welcome in the staffed Nursery for the learning hour as well as during worship.
The High School Youth Forum meets in the Youth Room (next to the balconey) for topical learning, relating current events and issues of daily living to their faith.
Alleluia Music & Arts
Alleluia Music & Arts is a unique program that concludes the learning hour for children through the 6th grade. Classes gather into clusters by age to learn about hymns, liturgical music, the seasons of the church year, the visual arts and more.
Children and worship
Bulletins are available for children. Each bulletin provides children with aids to understanding and participating in worship, as well as making connections with the stories and messages of the lectionary readings. Each week has a selection of puzzles, word finds, mazes, worship aids and interaction ideas to keep them engaged in the worship around them. Children also are invited to borrow one of our Worship Bags — white bags are assembled for younger children and blue bags are for older children. Please return bags to the hooks after the service.
Staffed Nursery
A staffed nursery is available for young children on Sunday mornings from 8:05 a.m. until Noon. Children are always welcome in worship, but parents should feel free to come and go with their children as necessary.
